Three hurt in I-70 wreck
MYERSVILLE, Md. — A two-vehicle accident was reported at 12:52 p.m. Friday in the area of Interstate 70 and Monument Road, just west of Myersville, Maryland State Police said. Two of three traffic lanes were briefly shut down Friday afternoon,. Three people were taken to Washington County Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. No additional information was available.

The accident occurred just in front of me in the fast lane and appeared to be caused when a preceding loaded utility trailer blew a tire. Attempts to avoid the debris caused the initial contact, which was nowhere near an exit. (Traffic signal reference??) It is a credit to the safety structure of the cars that injuries were not worse.
