About 200 receive H1N1 vaccination

Garrett Baker, 9, of Myersville, Md., receives an H1N1 flu vaccination Monday at the Washington County Health Department in Hagerstown. About 200 people with underlying medical problems received the vaccine, according to health department spokesman Rod MacRae. He said 200 doses were available and, to his knowledge, no one was turned away. The health department held the clinic to rush the vaccine to people ages 5 to 18 who have underlying medical problems, such as asthma and diabetes.

    Myersville, MD is in Frederick County so why is this child receiving the H1N1 at the Washington County Health Department when there are limited supply of the vaccination? (Report this comment)

    I agree!!! My niece is 14 and has diabetes and could not get one because they were all allocated by 10:00 a.m. Doesn't seem right to me! (Report this comment)
