Golden Table honors Maugansville students for trustworthiness

Maugansville Elementary honored students for being trustworthy at the first Golden Table of the year on Oct. 22.

Students received a book, compliments of the PTA, a school-related goody bag, healthful treats, a certificate and a star to wear designating their accomplishment.

Students recognized were kindergartners Rebekah Yeagy, Lane Kuhns, Madeline Semler, Rasheed Grandison, Olivia Frye, Ashtyn Baker, Kalissa Albertson, Taylor Richardson, Logan Hine and Jessica Munch; first-graders Wyatt Bussard, Madison Dawson, Lucas George, Kayla Sears, Meredith Morton, Tony Zheng, Raymond Wright, Morgan Burris Morgan Rettig and Devin Morningstar; second-graders Elmer Flores-Saravia, Chloe Coulter, Ian Waugh, Kyra Thomas, Marshall Lowman, Kamry Hunter, Daniel Deaner, Micah Myers and Stephanie Vicarte; third-graders Luke Coulter, Clair Knepper, Alexis Hayes, Andrew O'Connor, Dain Ochoa, Elyssa Lou, Mya Rattay, Seth Stuller and Scott Neil; fourth-graders Brandon Gasaway, Samantha Grams, Dara Holloman, Garrett Phelps, Kyle Abrahams, Gretchen Stenger, Amanda Keelan, Tyler Simpson, Ivon Fergus and Zachary Davies; and fifth-graders Matthew Rosario, Emeli Lemus, Kayla Hall, Eric Elliott, Jesse Hall, Mary Lungu, Kyle Hosein and Lauryn Unger. The next Golden Table, on Dec. 18, will celebrate those who demonstrate respect.

Pancake breakfast planned for Saturday

The Maugansville Ruritan Club will hold a pancake breakfast Saturday from 6:30 to 11 a.m.

The menu consists of all-you-can-eat pancakes with scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, coffee and juice at a cost of $5.50 for adults and $3 for those younger than 12.
