Thanksgiving Eve service scheduled

On Wednesday, St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 443 W. Franklin St., will host a combined West End Churches Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. The service will feature pastors from each church and a combined choir. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.

Potomac Center

The Potomac Center, a state residential facility for adults with intellectual disabilities, is in need of volunteers for setting up for activities, decorating for holidays, cooking with and for residents, reading, singing, playing board games, helping with crafts, assisting with data entry, landscaping, raking leaves and contributing to the Volunteer Association.
