Earn student service learning hours at craft show

Students can earn student service learning hours by volunteering with the Kris Kringle Holiday Craft Show.

The 26th annual Kris Kringle Holiday Craft Show is being held on Saturday, Nov. 21, and Sunday, Nov. 22. The show is being held at the Hagerstown Community College Athletic, Recreation, and Community Center (ARCC Arena) at 11400 Robinwood Drive, off U.S. 40, east of Hagerstown.

Student service learning hours for high school students have been approved by the Board of Education, by Sharon Chirgott, career technology education and student service learning resources teacher.

Help is needed for vendors unloading products from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20. Helpers are needed again at 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, for vendors unloading and then throughout the day until 5 p.m. Snacks and drinks will provided to the students.

This is a nonprofit show. All proceeds are being donated to Hospice of Washington County Inc. Food donations are given to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hagerstown for food distribution and toys to local needy families at Christmas.

Students interested in volunteer, call Linda Williams at 301-582-1233 or 301-331-1233.
