Living Well Expo
The Herald-Mail Company, the Washington County Health Dept. and the Valley Mall partnered to present the Living Well Expo 2009 at the Valley Mall on June 6th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This was a fun-filled and interactive, one-day comprehensive health and wellness event for the entire family.
The expo brought together local healthy living and lifestyle solution providers, products, traditional and alternative practitioners, nutrition, health screenings and more. The partnership goal was to inspire and encourage our community to embrace healthy lives and lifestyles, wellness and fitness through awareness of services and education for an opportunity to LIVE WELL!

Washington County Health Department is part of the State of Maryland's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Community Health Administration, as well as an agency of Washington County government. The Washington County Commissioners serve as the official Board of Health. The Health Advisory Commission, whose members are appointed by the Washington County Commissioners, provides oversight to public health endeavors. Funding for WCHD is a combination of federal, state and local monies, plus third-party and private-pay reimbursements.
